In the summer of 1980, two school teachers opened a restaurant in East Austin on a mission to revolutionize breakfast. Nearly 40 years later, Juan in a Million’s authentic Mexican cuisine has become famous both in Austin and around the world. Some say our legendary Don Juan taco, a heaping plate of bacon, potatoes, eggs, and cheese served on a warm tortilla, could even feed a family of four. This monster of a taco was even featured on Travel Channel’s Man vs. Food. Since we first opened, our restaurant has felt like an extension of our guests’ homes, and they count on a handshake and a big smile every time.
